I’ve just broken all inbound links to “individual post” archives in this ‘blog. Everything is still here, but now uses a slightly different URL. Sorry.
I use Movable Type to run this section of the site, and was having trouble posting new messages. I wrongly deduced the entry database was corrupted, so decided to delete all my posts, and re-import them from a backup. Easy, cool, fixed.
Oops, the entry ID isn’t exported with the rest of the data, so when you re-import it, the posts are assigned a new ID. So I’ve lost all my original individual post IDs. My old individual post archives used the post ID in the URL…
I’m rambling now, but this should serve as a warning: if you count on entry IDs, be careful if you ever need to export and re-import your posts. And don’t be stupid. Like me.
