Yeah, there’s a bad security situation with MacOS X. As a precaution I’m sending these four steps to my Mum (who switched to a Mac last year on my reccomendation). Last time she ran a system update it took over 10 hours via dialup (probably with the new iTunes and bloated QuickTime installer). The “critical” flag in Windows Update is pretty useful.
