A little tip if you regularly use MacOS X’s Network Utility application to do whois lookups for UK domains. The whois server for UK isn’t included by default, you have to type it in at each application launch. It gets tedious, but… if you track-down and edit the following file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.NetworkUtility.plist, you can add <string>whois.nic.uk</string> to the NUWhoisServers key and save a few valuable seconds of your day!
